傳聞1：TomTom支持iPhone
Reuters yesterday published a short article explaining that a TomTom spokesperson said the Dutch company already had developed a version of its navigation system for the iPhone.
TomTom的發言人說他們的荷蘭分公司為iPone開發了專用的GPS軟件版本，TomTom是GPS軟件大佬，此事如果屬實，可起到風向標的作用。
傳聞2: 官方消息－3G iPhone將附帶GPS功能 Steve Jobs announced today the new iPhone 3G and confirmed many rumors about in-built GPS. In the US the new iPhone 3G will be priced at $199 for the 8GB model, and $299 for the 16GB model. iPhone 3G will be available in more than 70 countries later this year, said Apple, beginning with customer availability in 22 countries -- Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US -- on July 11.
目前不清楚是iPhone自己開發GPS軟件，還是OEM上面提到的TomTom軟件，如果Route66等跟進支持，iPhone將對Nokia的手機市場發起挑戰，雖然Nokia說歡迎競爭，但可能心里并不這么想。加上年底可能出現的Google Mobile Phone，移動終端行業越來越有意思了。簡單譯一下上面的文字：iPhone 3G到年底將提供超過70個國家(地區)的GPS服務，至08年7月11日已可支持22個國家(地區)，它們是澳大利來、奧地利、比利時、加拿大、丹麥、芬蘭、法國、德國、香港、愛爾蘭、日本、墨西哥、荷蘭、新西蘭、挪威、葡萄牙、西班牙、瑞黃、瑞士、英國和美國（排名按英文字母序，可惜沒有 China）。
